In a recent episode of Hideo Kojima’s ‘HideoTube’ on YouTube, the highly anticipated Death Stranding 2 was discussed with some of the game’s leading actors. Surprisingly, one of the actors, who plays Sam Porter Bridges in the Japanese dub, confessed to having no clue about the sequel’s storyline. It seems that Hideo Kojima is keeping a tight lid on the details until the recording begins.

During the conversation, which took place around the 18-minute mark of the video, Kojima and the actor, Tsuda, touched upon their work on the upcoming game. Kojima revealed that recording for the Japanese dub of Death Stranding 2 is scheduled to start later this year. He also mentioned that the recording process for the Japanese dub of the original game took a whopping 18 months to complete. This hints at the potential challenge of meeting the game’s projected release date in 2025.

When asked about their discussions regarding the game’s story, Tsuda candidly responded, “No! I have no clue! I only know what I have seen in the trailer, just like everyone else.” Kojima added, “There are more characters; I’m just keeping quiet about them.”

Kojima further highlighted the extensive dialogue in the game, suggesting that Tsuda has his work cut out for him. He also reassured Tsuda that he would begin to understand the plot once the recording process begins. This indicates that the actor will be provided with the necessary context during the production.
