Microsoft has recently unveiled a custom Xbox Series X console inspired by the popular video game franchise, Fallout. The special edition console is being released in celebration of the upcoming Fallout TV show on Amazon. Fans have a chance to win this unique console by following Xbox and retweeting the post.

In addition to the custom Xbox Series X, the prize also includes a specially designed controller and a custom vault to store the hardware. The vault, labeled as Vault 33, is a reference to the bunker from which the protagonist of the Fallout TV show originates. Interestingly, the vault also features the words “Fort Knox,” which is a location mentioned in Bethesda’s game universe in Fallout 76.

Fallout TV Show and Collaboration with Fallout 5

The highly anticipated first season of the Fallout TV show will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting April 11, 2024. According to showrunner Jonathan Nolan, the show will be a “non interactive version” of Fallout 5. However, Todd Howard, the lead on the Fallout video game series, revealed that he provided guidance to the show’s writers regarding elements that will be featured in Fallout 5.

Xbox’s History of Custom Consoles and Controllers

This isn’t the first time Xbox has released custom consoles and controllers. Recently, they unveiled a non-functional Final Fantasy 14 Xbox Series X and a Dune: Part 2 special edition with a floating gamepad.
