Warning: Unauthorized Stardew Valley Discord Server Charging for Membership

The moderators of the r/StardewValley subreddit shared a post to clarify any confusion surrounding a Discord server that seemed to be associated with the subreddit.

The confusion began after a tweet from the @rStardewValley Twitter account, which promoted an exclusive new community for like-minded fans of the farming simulation game.

Although the subreddit moderators consider this kind of activity acceptable, they wanted to make it clear that the Twitter account and the linked Discord server are not managed by the same individuals.

Clarifying the Misunderstanding

The tweet in question stated that they were launching an exclusive Stardew Farming community for experienced players and encouraged interested individuals to reply for further information.

The tweet also included a screenshot of the game featuring a text box from the Stardew character, Abigail.

The text box mentioned that they had 300 free spots in their highly exclusive Stardew Valley Farming Community, but once those spots were filled, they would introduce a nominal fee.

The moderators of the subreddit reached out to the author of the Twitter post after the tweet was published, and it appears that the tweet has been deleted since then.

The bio of the Twitter account also states that it is not affiliated with ConcernedApe, Stardew Valley, or the Stardew Valley subreddit.

The moderators of r/StardewValley are currently exploring options to distinguish the Twitter account from the subreddit and have promoted another active Stardew Valley Discord server that supports a community of farmers, modders, and artists.

They also emphasize that neither the linked Discord server nor the subreddit would ever charge users to participate in their communities.
