New Animated Series Dora Premieres on Paramount+

The upcoming Dora series will feature all-new CG animation and captivating character-driven storylines. Viewers will follow the beloved bilingual explorer, Dora, and her loyal monkey friend, Boots, as they embark on epic adventures in a whimsical rainforest. Guided by the trustworthy Map, Dora and her friends must work together to overcome obstacles while facing off against the mischievous fox, Swiper. The series, consisting of 26 CG-animated episodes, will premiere on Friday, April 12, exclusively on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, the UK, and Australia.

In addition to Kathleen Herles, Mike Smith Rivera joins the cast as Papi. Other cast members include Maria Canals-Barrera as Abuela, Danny Burstein as Grumpy Old Troll and The Fiesta Trio’s Frog and Marmoset, Katarina Sky as Backpack, Donovan Monzon-Sanders as Tico, Tandi Fomukong as Isa, Quintún Muñoz as Benny, Chris Gifford as Big Red Chicken, and Anairis Quiñones as The Fiesta Trio’s Armadillo.

A Beloved Character Returns with New Adventures

Dora the Explorer originally premiered on Nickelodeon in 2000 and has since become one of the most iconic characters in children’s entertainment. Paramount+ stated that Dora remains one of the most-watched preschool shows of all time. Now, with the release of the new animated series, fans young and old can once again join Dora on her exciting and educational adventures. Mark your calendars for April 12 and get ready to explore the fantastical rainforest with Dora and her friends.

In addition to the new animated series, fans can also look forward to Dora’s Recipe for Adventure, a 10-episode podcast series by Nickelodeon. This podcast, designed for preschoolers and families, revolves around Dora and celebrates culture, food, family, and self-acceptance. Furthermore, the comedy film Dora and the Lost City of Gold was released in 2019, and the animated film Dora and the Fantastical Creatures premiered last year.
