For fans of the Game of Thrones books, Aegon I Targaryen is a familiar name. He is one of the most influential Targaryens, preceding the events of Daenerys in the main series. Aegon successfully conquered six out of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, with only Dorne resisting his rule. He, along with his sister-wives Visenya and Rhaenys, became the first rulers of the Iron Throne.
