Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is taking action to address a significant bug that has impacted its leaderboards. Game director Axel Rydby explained that while the intention behind the Burn effect was to create a powerful and enjoyable build, it was not meant to become the only viable option for endgame content. Rocksteady wants players to continually discover and create new powerful builds, breaking the existing meta in the process.

To rectify the issue, Rocksteady plans to nerf the Burn effect so that it scales as originally intended. However, this fix alone would not address the problem with the leaderboards. Due to the prevalence of overpowered Burn builds, the leaderboards have become skewed and do not accurately represent player progression. As a result, Rocksteady has made the decision to reset the leaderboards entirely.

While this reset may impact players who have invested time in creating and climbing the existing leaderboard, Rocksteady assures that their achievements will not go unnoticed. The developers will create a separate tab where players can view their previous records, allowing them and others to appreciate their accomplishments.

The release date for the patch addressing these issues has not been announced yet. However, community manager Darroch Brown assures players that it is planned for release in the near future. This update aims to restore balance and fairness to the leaderboards, allowing players to explore different builds and compete on a level playing field.

Despite facing this setback with the bug, it is important to judge Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League for what it is and not dwell on its imperfections. Rocksteady’s commitment to addressing the issue and resetting the leaderboards demonstrates their dedication to providing an enjoyable and balanced gaming experience for players.
